Individual Supporters
As a non-profit organization we need your help to raise the neccessary funds to carry out our mission every year. You can help by contributing a cash donation, buying season tickets, donating AlaskaAir miles or by donating an item to our silent auction. The Juneau community has long been an exceptional supporter of the arts and we are amazed every year at the enthusiastic response we get from our patrons. We hope you will join our growing family of individual supporters and help us bring Juneau the gift of live music.

Donate AlaskaAir miles
We use AlaskaAir to transport our conductor, guest artists and guest musicians. You can donate your extra miles by using AlaskaAir's Miles Transfer program, you can use your miles to buy a full ticket for one of our guest musicians, or you can donate your unused companion fares. We would be happy to discuss all of the options with you. Just give us a call. View details about the Miles Transfer Program at AlaskaAir.com. |
Use Goodshop and Goodsearch
Do you plan to buy any of your holiday presents online? Do you shop at places like Amazon.com, Best Buy.com, or the Apple Store? If you make a 10 second stop at Goodshop.com before you buy those online gifts, up to 30% of the money you spend will be donated to the Symphony, at no additional cost to you. Here's how:
- go to www.goodshop.com
- in the "Who do you Goodshop for?" box, type in "Juneau Symphony"
- choose the online store you want and the link will take you to that store's regular website.
- shop away! A percentage of your total money spent will be automatically sent to the Juneau Symphony's Goodshop account. No additional codes or coupons needed.
- at the end of the year, Goodshop sends the Symphony a check
Too easy to be true? No! Goodshop is an online company that helps non-profits raise money by sharing their advertising revenue with participating non-profit organizations. Goodshop has already made agreements with over 700 stores. The stores agree to send a percentage of their sales to the non-profits and then they benefit from increased internet traffic. It's a win-win situation for everyone, especially us.
So feel twice as good about buying presents for your loved ones, because at no additional cost, you'll be helping spread the joy of music in Juneau. To learn more about the Goodshop and Goodsearch companies, visit their website: www.goodsearch.com. The companies operate year round so remember to Goodshop whenever you buy online.

InKind Donations
Silent Auction: At our fall concerts on October 23 & 24 we will hold our annual Silent Auction fundraiser which will hopefully raise nearly $10,000. We are looking for donations of prizes or services that we can auction off. Items include store merchandise, gift certificates, event tickets, baked goods, and hours of service such as landscaping or consulting. Items can be dropped off at the Symphony office or picked up by our volunteers. If you would like to donate an item you can use our donor form or call the office at 586-4676.
Musician Housing: Each concert our visiting musicians and conductor need places to stay, usually for three nights. If you have an extra room, apartment or need a housesitter please contact the office at 586-4676
Donate A&P Receipts: As a non-profit organization we are enrolled in A&P's 1% Program. We turn in receipts from the store and receive 1% of the purchase total back. You can increase our dividend by donating your old receipts via mail or dropping them off at the office. |
